I’ve said this many times for sure, but one of the many reasons I love what I do, is the opportunity I get to travel and work on all sorts of jobs with different people all over the world. But this one was filmed in and around LA which in recent times is a big deal. The film community in LA has suffered greatly because of the lack of filming locally, and recently the fires that devastated Pacific Palisades and other residential areas of LA made things even worse. It’s really expensive now to film in LA, ridiculously so, which means that all the films/commercials are produced elsewhere for budget reasons. I won’t go into why this has happened (its a complex situation which needs more time to be explained) but I think its important when a brand like KIA decides to film locally and help out the local crews who need the work. So, it was really great to be able to work along side crews that are brilliant at their craft. Here are just a handful of the crew on set, thanks to them and all of those that are not pictured below! Sadly this was the last job with Rakish. It was a great ride and thanks to Preston and Gabe for that.
The client was KIA, agency David&Goliath. Creatives who I have to thank for being so easy to work with were Ben Purcell, Avi Pinchevsky, Ben Sweitzer and Ben Weiller amongst others who will also forgive me if not mentioned! I’ve done quite a few Kia jobs over the years and its always great to connect with them. JAMM VFX did a greart job, also very easy to work with, the results speak for themselves.
I didn’t take many pictures on this one as we were running around like crazy, but here are a few more.
